Student Nutritional Program Appreciation Event

I have to admit that I am pretty stoked about this.

I support this program because I have seen from personal experience what happens to students in school when they are not properly fed.

The invitation reads in part —

RE: INVITATION TO STUDENT NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS APPRECIATION EVENT

On behalf of the Northumberland Food For Thought Steering Committee, I would like to invite you to an appreciation event held in honor of your ongoing support. Student Nutritional Programs needs the support of businesses like Mike Fishers Driving School to continue feeding students who go to school hungry for a variety of reasons such as long bus rides, early day care, and hectic morning schedules. Hunger prevents students from learning. Your donations help ensure children and youth are properly nourished so that they can realize their potential.

The appreciation event will be held on Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School, located at 1050 Birchwood Trail in Cobourg. It will run from 9:15 to 10:45 am. During the ceremony we would like to take a moment to acknowledge your support and take some photos…..
